ABSTRACT

Anti-infection hydrogels have recently aroused enormous attraction, particularly in the treatment of chronic wounds. Herein, silver nanoparticle@catechol formaldehyde resin microspheres (Ag@CFRs) were fabricated by one-step hydrothermal method and subsequently encapsulated in hydrogels which were developed by Schiff base reaction between aldehyde groups in oxidized hyaluronic acid and amino groups in carboxymethyl chitosan. The developed polysaccharide hydrogel exhibited microporous structure, high swelling capacity, favorable mechanical strength, enhanced tissue adhesion and photothermal activities. Additionally, the hydrogel not only ensured long-term and high-efficiency antibacterial performance (99.9 %) toward E. coli and S. aureus, but also realized superior cytocompatibility in vitro. Moreover, based on the triple antibacterial strategies endowed by chitosan, silver nanoparticles and the photothermal properties of catechol microspheres, the composite hydrogel exhibited excellent anti-infection function, significantly downregulated inflammatory factors (TNF-α and IL-1ß) and promoted in vivo infected-wound healing. These results demonstrated that the polysaccharide hydrogel containing Ag@CFRs has great potential for infected-wounds repair.

ABSTRACT

A novel and eco-friendly intumescent flame-retardant system based on sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) was established for wide-used flexible polyurethane foams (FPUFs). FPUF-(APP6CMC1)GN1 with extremely uniform coatings extinguished and reached the UL-94 V-0 rating, and presented an improvement of thermal insulation properties. Moreover, there was a 58 % reduction in peak heat release rate for FPUF-(APP6CMC1)GN1 compared with that of FPUF, and the microstructure analysis of char residues indicated that a perfect intumescent char layer had formed on the surface of FPUFs. Especially, CMC and GN enhanced the compactness and stability of char layers. Therefore, little volatile production was generated under the protection of physical layers in the high temperature as evaluated during the thermal degradation processes. Meanwhile, the flame-retardant FPUFs remained the ideal mechanical properties and obtained excellent antibacterial properties, and the antibacterial rates of E.coli and S.aureus were 99.9 % (FPUF-(APP6CMC1)GN1). This work provides an eco-friendlier strategy for the design of multi-function FPUFs.

ABSTRACT

Flame-retardant cycloaliphatic epoxy systems have long been studied; however, the research suffers from slow and unsatisfactory advances. In this work, we synthesized a kind of phosphorus-containing difunctional cycloaliphatic epoxide (called BCEP). Then, triglycidyl isocyanurate (TGIC) was mixed with BCEP to achieve epoxy systems that are rich in phosphorus and nitrogen elements, which were cured with 4-methylhexahydrobenzene anhydride (MeHHPA) to obtain a series of flame-retardant epoxy resins. Curing behaviors, flame retardancy, thermal behaviors, dielectric performance, and the chemical degradation behaviors of the cured epoxy system were investigated. BCEP-TGIC systems showed a high curing activity, and they can be efficiently cured, in which the incorporation of TGIC decreased the curing activity of the resin. As the ratio of BCEP and TGIC was 1:3, the cured resin (BCEP1-TGIC3) showed a relatively good flame retardancy with a limiting oxygen index value of 25.2%. In the cone calorimeter test, they presented a longer time to ignition and a lower heat release than the commercially available cycloaliphatic epoxy resins (ERL-4221). BCEP-TGIC systems presented good thermal stability, as the addition of TGIC delayed the thermal weight loss of the resin. BCEP1-TGIC3 had high dielectric performance and outperformed ERL-4221 over a frequency range of 1 HZ to 1 MHz. BCEP1-TGIC3 could achieve degradation under mild conditions in an alkali methanol/water solution. Benefiting from the advances, BCEP-TGIC systems have potential applications as electronic packaging materials in electrical and electronic fields.

ABSTRACT

Alginates, a kind of naturally occurring polysaccharides, have been exploited for functional materials owing to their versatility, sustainability, nontoxicity, and relatively low cost. Inherent flame retardancy is one of the most attractive features of alginates, as it enables the high-value-added utilization of alginates for eco-friendly flame-retardant materials. Now, the influence of metal ions on the flame retardancy and pyrolysis behaviors of alginates has been systematically studied; besides, the applications of alginates for flame-retardant materials have been greatly developed, such as for preparing flame-retardant fibers, fabrics, aerogel composites, and foams, as well as serving as a component or modifier of functional coatings, hybrids, and additives. This review will give an overview of the recent progress and the prospects of using alginates in flame-retardant fields, which can guide the design of bio-based flame retardants and benefit the further development of more diverse applications of alginates.

ABSTRACT

In this study, a fully bio-based coating was constructed by layer-by-layer deposition of chitosan (CS) and ammonium phytate (AP), to obtain fire-safety and antibacterial cotton fabrics. With about 8% weight gains of CS/AP coatings, the treated cotton fabrics self-extinguished in the vertical burning test. The data obtained from cone calorimetry showed CS/AP/cotton had much lower smoke and heat production, which indicated the fire safety of the fabrics was significantly improved for the presence of CS/AP coatings. The flame-retardant mechanism of this system was finally proposed according to the analysis of gaseous products and char residues. What is more, CS/AP coatings had higher antibacterial activity in Gram-negative bacteria and did improve the tensile strength of cotton fabrics compared with AP coating. With its ease of operation and use of non-toxic chemicals, this fully bio-based coating can further offer a feasible flame-retardant and antibacterial solution of the inflammable natural fabrics.

ABSTRACT

The construction of fully bio-based epoxy resins (EP) has been of particular interest in both academia and industrial circles for years; among these, epoxidized soybean oil (ESO) derived thermosets have received the most attention, but they usually exhibit poor performance due to their flexible fatty chains. Herein, tannic acid (TA), with its great degree of functionality and massive aromatic structures, was chosen as the multi-phenol curing agent for ESO to prepare fully bio-based EP thermosets with a high relaxation temperature and satisfactory mechanical properties. As a natural 2-substituted imidazole-containing substance, histidine (H) was used as the curing accelerator under moderate curing conditions (120-180 °C). This EP system showed high curing activity and a good curing degree while operating. The cured thermosets were found to be thermally stable (T 5% > 270 °C) and displayed a high relaxation temperature (77 °C) with a tensile strength of 23 MPa. Preliminary adhesion tests showed that the cured product exhibited a high lap-shear strength of about 19 MPa in adhesion failure mode. Taking these advantages into account, this kind of fully bio-based EP could introduce more chances for versatile applications, such as being used in structural materials and construction adhesives.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the association between rs9722 polymorphisms in the S100B gene and hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) caused by enterovirus 71. METHODS: A total of 124 HFMD children with enterovirus 71 infection were enrolled as subjects, and 56 healthy children were enrolled as control group. The rs9722 polymorphisms in the S100B gene were detected for both groups, and the serum level of S100B protein was measured for 74 HFMD children. RESULTS: The rs9722 locus of the S100B gene had three genotypes, CC, CT, and TT, and the genotype frequencies were in accordance with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. Compared with the control group, the HFMD group had significant increases in the frequencies of TT genotype and T allele (P<0.01). Children with severe HFMD caused by enterovirus 71 infection had significantly higher frequencies of TT genotype and T allele than those with moderate or mild HFMD (P<0.05). Compared with the cured patients, the patients with poor prognosis had significant increases in the frequencies of TT genotype and T allele in the rs9722 locus of the S100B gene (P<0.05). Among the 74 children with HFMD, the children with TT genotype had the highest serum level of S100B protein, and those with CC genotype had the lowest level (P<0.01). CONCLUSIONS: T allele in the rs9722 locus of the S100B gene might be a risk factor for severe HFMD caused by enterovirus 71 infection.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical characteristics of children with critical hand-foot-mouth disease (HFMD) who were treated with mechanical ventilation and to explore the risk factors for poor prognosis. METHODS: The clinical data of 63 children with critical HFMD who were admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit between April 2012 and September 2013 and needed mechanical ventilation were retrospectively analyzed. RESULTS: Among the 63 children, 43 were boys and 20 were girls, and their mean age was 25 ± 18 months, with 81% under 3 years old. The four death cases were all under three years old. Compared with the cured cases, the death cases had a significantly lower mean age (8 ± 3 months vs 25 ± 18 months; P<0.05). Poor peripheral circulation above the elbow or knee joint, pulmonary edema involving at least two thirds of the lung field, and pulmonary hemorrhage were all closely related to death (P<0.01). The death cases and cured cases had significantly different peripheral white blood cell counts, blood lactic acid, and blood glucose (24 ± 11× 109/L vs 12 ± 5×109/L; 6.6 ± 1.8 mmol/L vs 3.6 ± 1.7 mmol/L; 16.4 ± 2.5 mmol/L vs 10.0 ± 3.0 mmol/L). The cases with critical illness score <90 had a significantly higher death risk (P<0.01). CONCLUSIONS: Children with critical HFMD are mainly under 3 years old. The children face extremely high risk of death when they suffer from poor peripheral circulation above the elbow or knee joint, pulmonary edema involving at least two thirds of the lung field, and pulmonary hemorrhage. Significant increases in peripheral white blood cell counts, blood lactic acid, and blood glucose are risk factors for poor prognosis. Critical illness score is also related to poor prognosis.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the autophagy of effector cells in lung tissue at different time points when rats were exposed to free SiO2 dust. METHODS: Sixty Wistar rats (220∼230 g) were selected and allocated to experimental group (n = 30) and control group (n = 30). In the experimental group, a rat silicosis model was established by infusing SiO2 suspension into the trachea of rats. Six rats in each group were sacrificed on days 1, 7, 14, 21, or 28 of dust exposure. Lung tissue samples were collected to prepare lung tissue sections. The pulmonary inflammation and fibrosis were observed by HE staining. The proautophagosome, autophagosome, and autophagolysosome in lung tissue sections were observed under a transmission electron microscope. RESULTS: On day 1 of dust exposure, many proautophagosomes and autophagosomes were seen in both experimental group and control group. On day 7 of dust exposure, the experimental group had more autophagosomes in lung tissue than the control group. On day 14 of dust exposure, the experimental group had fewer autophagosomes than the control group. On days 21 and 28, autophagolysosomes were seen in macrophage plasma in both experimental group and control group; the autophagolysosomes in experimental group showed cloudy swelling and expansion, and some were vacuolated, and these changes were more significant on day 28. CONCLUSION: Free SiO2 dust can induce autophagy in the lung tissue of rats, with varying degrees at different time points of dust exposure.

ABSTRACT

Taking the vegetation phenological metrics derived from the net ecosystem carbon exchange (NEE) data of 72 flux towers in North America as the references, a comprehensive evaluation was conducted on the three typical classes of remote sensing extraction methods (threshold method, moving average method, and function fitting method) for vegetation phenology from the aspects of feasibility and accuracy. The results showed that the local midpoint threshold method had the highest feasibility and accuracy for extracting vegetation phenology, followed by the first derivative method based on fitted Logistic function. The feasibility and accuracy of moving average method were determined by the moving window size. As for the MODJS 16 d composited time-series normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), the moving average method had preferable performance when the window size was set as 15. The global threshold method performed quite poor in the feasibility and accuracy. Though the values of the phenological metrics extracted by the curvature change rate method based on fitted Logistic function and the corresponding ones derived from NEE data had greater differences, there existed a strong correlation between them, indicating that the vegetation phenological metrics extracted by the curvature change rate method could reflect the real temporal and spatial variations of vegetation phenology.

ABSTRACT

In vitro and in vivo studies have demonstrated that lung cell apoptosis is associated with lung fibrosis; however the relationship between apoptosis of alveolar macrophages (AMs) and human silicosis has not been addressed. In the present study, AM apoptosis was determined in whole-lung lavage fluid from 48 male silicosis patients, 13 male observers, and 13 male healthy volunteers. The relationships between apoptosis index (AI) and silica exposure history, soluble Fas (sFas)/membrane-bound Fas (mFas), and caspase-3/caspase-8 were analyzed. AI, mFas, and caspase-3 were significantly higher in lung lavage fluids from silicosis patients than those of observers or healthy volunteers, but the level of sFas demonstrated a decreasing trend. AI was related to silica exposure, upregulation of mFas, and activation of caspase-3 and -8, as well as influenced by smoking status after adjusting for confounding factors. These results indicate that AM apoptosis could be used as a potential biomarker for human silicosis, and the Fas/FasL pathway may regulate this process. The present data from human lung lavage samples may help to understand the mechanism of silicosis and in turn lead to strategies for preventing or treating this disease.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To study the roles of macrophage apoptosis, IL-1, and IL-8 in the pathogenesis of rat pulmonary fibrosis induced by silica. METHODS: Forty eight male Wistar rats were divided into the 4 control groups (24 rats) and 4 experimental groups (24 rats). Rats in the control groups were treated with 1 ml normal saline by trachea instillation, whereas the rats in experimental groups were exposed 1 ml silica suspension (100 mg/ml) by trachea instillation for 1, 7, 14 and 28 days, respectively. Six rats of each group were sacrificed, then the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid and lung tissues were collected, respectively. Pulmonary inflammation, fibrosis and other pathological changes were detected with H.E. staining. Morphological changes of the early stage apoptosis in macrophages were detected with transmission electron microscope (TEM). The early apoptosis rates of macrophages in BALF were also assessed using Annexin V-FITC/PI kit. The IL-1 and IL-8 levels of serum were measured with the ELISA. RESULTS: The apoptotic rates (11.48% +/- 0.24%, 16.03% +/- 0.68%, 15.53% +/- 1.07%, 18.92% +/- 2.70%, respectively) of macrophage in the experimental groups increased obviously with time, as compared to the controls (5.47% +/- 2.06%, 6.39% +/- 0.215, 9.07% +/- 0.61% and 8.54% +/- 0.16%, Respectively) (P < 0.05). The IL-1 levels of serum in the experimental groups were 23.64 +/- 0.84, 23.38 +/- 1.10, 22.21 +/- 0.86 and 24.29 +/- 1.31 pg/ml, respectively, which were significantly higher than those (18.52 +/- 1.23, 18.40 +/- 1.6, 17.92 +/- 2.21 and 18.53 +/- 2.64 pg/ml, respectively) in the control groups (P < 0.05) without time-effect relationship. The serum IL-8 levels on the 1st, 7th and 14th days in the experimental groups were 21.32 +/- 1.44, 21.90 +/- 2.08 and 22.00 +/- 2.80 pg/ml, respectively, which were significantly higher than those (17.69 +/- 1.09, 16.98 +/- 2.09 and 17.54 +/- 1.62 pg/ml, respectively) in the control groups (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: The early macrophage apoptosis and changes of IL-1 and IL-8 may in lungs may play an important role in the development of pulmonary fibrosis induced by silica.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To study serum levels of brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) in children with Kawasaki disease (KD) and the correlation between BNP levels and the heart function. METHODS: Forty-three children with KD and thirty healthy children were enrolled. Serum levels of BNP were measured using ELISA. KD children received an echocardiographic examination, including measurements of left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), left ventricular shorten fraction (LVSF), cardiac index (CI) and left ventricular inflow velocity through the mitral annulus. RESULTS: Mean serum level of BNP at the acute stage in children with KD was significantly higher than that at the recovery stage as well as the control group (p<0.01). The LVEF, LVSF and CI levels at the acute stage were significantly lower than those at the recovery stage in children with KD (p<0.05). The linear regression analysis showed that the BNP level was negatively correlated with the levels of LVEF, LVSF and CI (r=-0.63, -0.52, -0.53, p<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The serum BNP levels increase significantly in KD children at the acute stage, and are negatively correlated with the levels of LVEF, LVSF and CI. Measurement of serum BNP level is useful for the early diagnosis of KD.

BACKGROUND: Kawasaki disease (KD) is a common cause of acquired heart disease in children. Recent studies have focused on the biochemical markers of the myocardium, their high sensitivity and specificity and significance in the diagnosis of KD. This study aimed to determine the serum level of brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) and its relation with the heart function of children with KD and to explore its clinical value in diagnosis of KD. METHODS: Forty-three KD children, aged from 5 months to 8 years (mean 2.3±0.6 years), were admitted to Qingdao Children's Hospital from February 2007 to April 2009. Among them 27 were male, and 16 female. The 43 patients served as a KD group. Patients with myocarditis, cardiomyopathy, congenital heart disease and other primary heart diseases were excluded. Thirty healthy children, aged from 3 months to 15 years (mean 2.5±0.8 years) or 17 males and 13 females served as a control group. There were no significant differences in age and gender between the two groups (P>0.05). In the KD group, ELISA was used to measure the levels of serum BNP in acute and convalescent stages; and in the control group, the levels of serum BNP were measured once randomly. Left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), left ventricular shorten fraction (LVSF), cardiac index (CI) and left ventricular inflow velocity through the mitral annulus (including E-velocity and A-velocity) were measured by two-dimensional echocardiography in the acute and convalescent stages in the KD group. All data were expressed as mean±SD. The methods of analysis included Student's t test and the linear regression analysis test. P<0.05 was considered statistically significant. RESULTS: The level of serum BNP in the acute stage (517.26±213.40) ng/ml was significantly higher than that in the convalescent stage (91.56±47.97) ng/ml in the control group (37.55±7.56) ng/ml (P<0.01). The levels of LVEF, LVSF and CI in the acute stage were significantly lower than those in the convalescent stage (P<0.05), but the E/A level was not significantly different between the acute and convalescent stages (P>0.05). Linear regression analysis showed that the BNP level was negatively correlated with the levels of LVEF, LVSF and CI(r=-0.63, -0.52, -0.53, P<0.05), but not significantly correlated with the E/A level (r=-0.18, P>0.05). CONCLUSION: The levels of serum BNP are significantly increased in KD patients, and are negatively correlated with the levels of LVEF, LVSF, and CI. The detection of serum BNP level is of clinical significance in the diagnosis of KD.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of occupational stress on menses and sex hormones. METHODS: 415 female knitting workers were investigated using the generic job stress questionnaire. Their venous blood were collected and the six sex hormones were detected by using radio-immune method. The different rate of abnormal menses and sex hormones level between different stress degree groups were analyzed. RESULTS: The abnormal rate of menses, menstrual blood volume, menstrual cycle, menstrual period was 36.24%, 19.80%, 14.43%, 11.41% respectively. The prevalence rate of dysmenorrheal and premenstrual syndrome was 1.01% and 29.19% respectively. The more depression, the higher menses disorders in non-intrauterine device (IUD) group. The more job demands, the higher daily stress in IUD group while the longer work time, the more abnormal menstrual period in two groups. More physical symptoms and deeper depression in non-IUD group were related to higher abnormal rate of menstrual blood volume. The level of blood E2 was lower in the group of prolonged work-time than that of in normal work-time group. The increasing FSH level and decreasing T level was associated with higher job demands. Multiple factor analysis showed that physical symptom, control of resource and negative life affairs were the risk factors of menses disorder; The physical symptom was the risk factor of menstrual blood volume; More physical symptoms, less positive feeling and shift were the risk factors of premenstrual syndrome; Less positive feeling was the risk factor of menstrual cycle; Prolonged daily work-time was the risk factor of menstrual period. CONCLUSION: Higher stress degree can lead to higher FSH and E2 and lower T level,and induce menses disorder.

ABSTRACT

In order to probe into the effects of artificial vegetation rehabilitation on soil actinomycetes, dilution plate and agar block methods were used to investigate the ecological distribution and antimicrobial effects of actinomycetes in sandy soil in Shazhuyu area of Qinghai after artificial vegetation restoration. The results showed that with the vegetation rehabilitation and the improvement of vegetation coverage on alpine sandy dry land, the quantity of soil actinomycetes increased significantly, being 145.4% higher in the grassland transferred from farmland than in sandy land. The quantity of soil Micromonospora in grassland transferred from farmland was about six times as much as that in sandy land. The average selection rate of antimicrobial actinomycetes was increased greatly, with the antimicrobial actinomycetes in the soil of grassland transferred from farmland, the antibacterial actinomycetes in the soil of natural grassland, and the pathogenic fungus resistant aetinomycetes in the soil of forestland being approximately 2, 3.2 and 1.5 times as much as those in the soil of sandy land, respectively. Vegetation coverage and soil nutrients had great influences on the quantities of actinomycetes and antimicrobial actinomycetes. The contents of soil organic matter and alkali-hydrolyzable nitrogen and the yield of fresh grasses had significant correlations with the quantities of actinomycetes (P < 0.01), and the content of soil organic matter and the yield of fresh grasses significantly correlated with the strain numbers of antimicrobial actinomycetes (P < 0.01). Furthermore, vegetation coverage and the contents of soil total nitrogen, total phosphorous, total potassium, total salt, and available potassium had significant correlations with the total quantities of actinomycetes, Streptomycetes, and Micromonospora (P < 0.05).

ABSTRACT

Dilution plate- and agar block methods were employed to study the effects of microwave irradiation on the isolation of soil actinomycetes. The results showed that: 1) Microwave irradiation could significantly increase the total quantity of isolated actinomycetes. With the increasing duration of microwave irradiation, the total quantity of actinomycetes in soils with high organic matter content tended to increase first and decrease then. This quantity on GA and HA culture medium increased by 8.3%-92.6% and 24.4%-108.5% when the irradiation lasted 3-15 minutes, but decreased by 62.1%-78.8% and 41.4%-79.8%, respectively when the irradiation lasted 18-24 minutes, in comparison with that on the control medium. Microwave irradiation showed no remarkable effects on the total quantity of actinomycetes in the soils with low organic matter content. 2) Microwave irradiation also exerted remarkable effects on the number of actinomycetes species. With the increase of irradiation duration, the actinomycetes species number in soils with high organic matter content appeared to increase first and decrease then. When the irradiation lasted 3-24 minutes, the newly identified actinomycetes species on GA and HA culture medium, which included rare actinomycete genera such as Promicromonospora and Streptoverticillium, took up 62.5%-85.7% and 66.7%-83.3% of all the actinomycetes species respectively, and the genus Streptmycete also had obvious variation. Soils with low organic matter content showed the similar tendency. 3) Microwave irradiation could exert remarkable effects on the percentages of antimicrobial actinomycetes strains to all test actinomycete strains. When the microwave irradiation lasted 6, 9, and 15 minutes, the percentages of antimicrobial antinomycetes strains on the culture mediums increased by 66.7%, 66.7%, and 83.3%, and the newly identified antimicrobial antinomycetes strains made up 70.0%, 90.0%, and 81.8% of all the antimicrobial antinomycetes strains, respectively.

ABSTRACT

The zinc finger proteins belong to the largest family of regulatory transcription factors, which play an important role in growth and development in animal and plant systems. SUPERMAN-like zinc finger protein gene has only one "finger like" motif. A pair of degenerate primers was designed according to the conserved regions, and 3 kinds of EST of this family were isolated from cotton through RT-PCR. The full length of one SUPERMAN-like zinc finger protein also has been acquired. The entire coding region is 744 bp and encodes a polypeptide of 248 amino acids with 40% homology to RBE protein of Arabidopsis deposited in the GenBank. This gene was designated as GZFP. It has the conserved zinc finger domain and the leucine rich region at the carboxyl terminus but no intron in the coding region. GZFP also has the plant nuclear localization signal. GZFP shows a more expression pattern in floral buds, ovaries, petals and roots than in phloem, xylem, fibers, leaves and seeds of cotton by RT-PCR, although it has a very low detection level and there is not any homologous ESTs found in the GenBank. Analysis of the 5' flanking sequence shows there are several regulatory elements responsible for pollen and root expression, four core sites required for binding of Dof proteins and four light-regulated elements.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVES: To observe the effect of three different routes on the induction of immunogenicity to whole bacterial antigen of Vac A+ Helicobacter pylori strain (NCTC11637) and explore its mechanism. METHODS: Two milk goats and one pregnant goat were immunized by different routes respectively with whole bacterial of H. pylori (6 x 10(9) cfu/ml) cultivated by solid culture medium. At the 1st, 14th, 21st, 28th day, two goats were immunized four times by intranasal or subcutaneous injection. The other pregnant goat was immunized four times at a interval of two weeks before and after one month of lamb birth by muscular injection. Serum and milk samples were collected and assayed by indirect enayme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The levels of anti-Hp of IgG and IgA in serum and milk were determined by reading the optical density (A). RESULTS: Three immune routes all induced systemic immune response. The optical density (A) of ELISA proved that the specific IgG in serum increased while IgA didn't increase significantly, and that the specific IgA and IgG in milk all increased to a greater or lesser extent compared with control group. CONCLUSION: Three immune routes all induce systemic immune response, resulting in increases of anti-Hp of IgG/IgA in milk and IgG in serum. Among them, intranasal inoculation can induce systemic immune response and local immune response in different mucosal sites, which may be a safe and effective immunization route.
